K.O, who last performed in Bulawayo with his group Teargas, will make his maiden solo act at Amphitheatre on April 29.
Now K.O heads Cash Time Life Records, which houses artistes such as Kid X, MaE and Maggz.
The Gangsta Love hit-maker will share the stage with Winky D, who is rated one of the best live performers in the country at the moment.
The show, themed Best from Both Worlds, will see the two artistes exchange their lyrical prowess from two different genres, kwaito and dancehall.
After bringing K.O to Harare last year, show organisers, 2 Kings Entertainment, said they felt the star should also grace Bulawayo, which is the home of kwaito in Zimbabwe.
“We finally managed to bring Mr Cashtime (K.O) to Bulawayo after his dance with Harare, there is no doubt Bulawayo is the home of kwaito and rap in Zimbabwe and it only makes sense to bring him (K.O) to the city where his music can be easily translated,” Dee Nosh of 2Kings Entertainment said.
“We promise a good show on the night. It’s going to be a show not to miss and to remember with two of the best artistes from Zimbabwe and Mzansi on one stage.”
K.O broke through into the music industry with the trio Teargas which had MaE and Ntukza, who released their hit albums Wafa Wafa, K’shubile K’bovu and Number Number.
Now the artiste co-runs Cash Time Life records. In 2014 he released his successful solo album Skhanda Republic, which was followed up by hit songs such as Caracara, Gangsta Love, Papa Action and recently Pretty Little Girl.
